Dr. Jeff Reed

Dr. Jeff Reed was born and raised in Saint Louis. He attended the University of Missouri-Columbia for undergraduate and for medical school. Dr. Reed completed his internship at UCLA and his dermatology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He specializes in general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology as well as MOHS skin cancer surgery.

Dr. Craig Spenner

Dr. Craig Spenner is a board-certified dermatologist who has been in private practice in the Saint Louis area for 35 years. He graduated from St. Louis University and completed his internship at St. Louis University Hospital. Dr. Spenner went on to complete his residency at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. He specializes in general dermatology and is currently licensed in both Missouri and Florida.

Christine Edwards PA-C

Christine Edwards is a Board Certified Physician Assistant who has been with Premier Dermatology since 2009. She was born and raised in St. Louis where she attended John Burroughs High School. She was then accepted into the Honors Program at George Washington University and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science and Health Education. She went on to obtain a Masters Degree in Medical Science from the Physician Assistant Program at St. Louis University in 2008.

Christine is passionate about providing exceptional medical care to her patients and prides herself on taking thoughtful and compassionate medical histories, providing thorough and respectful physical exams, and administering appropriate medical care where the goals and expectations are clearly explained to each patient. Her main focus is to help patients improve the quality of their lives and to help them feel more comfortable in their skin.

What is a Physician Assistant/PA?

A PA is a nationally certified and state-licensed medical professional. PAs practice medicine on healthcare teams with physicians and other providers. A period of extensive clinical training precedes obtaining a license to practice as a PA, which is similar to physician training but shorter in duration, and includes all systems of the human body. PAs conduct physical exams, order and interpret tests, diagnose illness, develop treatment plans, perform procedures, prescribe medications, and advise on preventative health care.

Lisa Burgard FNP

Lisa received her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Illinois Wesleyan University. She worked as a registered nurse in the Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit at St. John's Mercy Medical Center (now Mercy St. Louis) for over eight years. Lisa obtained her Master's Degree in Nursing from the nurse practioner program at UMSL, receiving both a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) degree and an Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP) degree. She has practiced dermatology in the St. Louis area since 2002.

What is a Nurse Practitioner?
A Nurse Practitioner is a nurse who possesses a Master's Degree in nursing and has several years of clinical experience. Governed by the State of Missouri, a Nurse Practitioner may see patients, diagnose and treat diseases and write prescriptions in collaboration with a physician.
